Minneapolis Upholstery Cleaning Process

Upholstery cleaning is important to keeping your family healthy. In any Minneapolis home, the couch is a great place for hanging out, watching television, hosting a family game night, or any other fun, relaxing activity. Cleaning couches and upholstery has specific steps for a proper clean. Different methods can come with different steps, but here are the main steps for most upholstery cleaning services.

Brush

Brushing the couch fibers helps separate the dirt and fibers to prepare for the vacuum. While this mostly only works on the larger particles, like lodged food crumbs and dust, it is still important to have them cleaned out before scrubbing the couch and applying spot treatment.

Vacuum

After separating the dirt from the couch fibers, vacuuming is in order. This is the more obvious step, but it is still important. Vacuuming cleans out any hair, dust, or food crumb in your couch so that it can be ready for the soap solution.

Scrub and Spot

Scrubbing with the soap solution and spotting stains are usually done separately, but both help make your couch look brand new again. The soap scrub is for a good general clean. For spot cleaning, that will help get out old stains.

Rinse and Dry

Depending on the type of soap and cleaning method, there might not be a need to rinse or dry the couches. With encapsulation technology, there is very little to no water in the cleaning process with the cleaning solution used. If water is used to clean, the rinsing process and drying process will take a while, but the clean is worth it.
