How dirty can your carpets get? Advice from our Minneapolis Carpet Cleaners.

Our carpets are in the most comfortable places in our homes. From living rooms to bedrooms, your carpets can be in the room where you spend the most time. In Minneapolis, our carpet cleaning business has seen the difference a good carpet cleaning can make. Even companies are surprised to see what their carpets look like when they’re clean. We also post some of our before and after cleaning pictures on our Facebook page.

One of our recent carpet cleanings was at an office with very dirty carpets! Check it out:

There are many contaminates that get stuck in your carpets, but there are more common items that we see while cleaning carpets. Here are some of the few things we have cleaned out of many carpets.

Dust and Dirt

Dust is probably the most common particle that gets stuck in carpets. Dirt can come from outside and in your own home. Vacuuming can help keep dust at bay, but it will not solve all problems your carpets can have with dirt. From what you can see in our Facebook post, there was a lot of dirt stuck in the carpets even after they tried vacuuming.

Hair

Have you ever tried counting the hairs on your head? Unless you’re bald, it is probably impossible. Between everyone that enters your home and your family, there is plenty of hair to get stuck in your carpets. If you have pets, fur can also get into the carpets. The woven fibers of your carpet can trap in hair, even if you vacuum on a regular basis.

Bugs

Keeping bugs out is harder than you think. Every time a door opens, there is a change a bug will get in. For your carpets, it isn’t about living bugs that get into your home, but the ones that zoom in, get caught, and perish in the carpet fibers. This can mostly be solved by vacuuming regularly, but getting professional cleaning is sure to get every bug in your carpet.

Pollen

We mostly know pollen from spring and summer allergies, but it can also get stuck in the carpets of your home. Pollen is carried from one place to another through the wind. It is good to have your windows open to freshen up your home, but pollen can come in and get stuck in the carpets. This is especially worrisome for allergy sufferers.

“Gifts” from Animals

Pets are amazing, but they often do not help keep your home clean. It isn’t guaranteed that wherever they step is completely clean and won’t get stuck in their paws. Even if you can’t see it, there are probably many particles in your carpets from your animals or shoes that isn’t the best for your carpets.

If you’re looking to get your carpets cleaned, we are happy to help! We take many safety measures, so call us to learn more or schedule a carpet cleaning.
